Timothy Treadwell

After viewing the videos of Timothy Treadwell, I was so moved by his compassion for grizzly bears, considered as one of the most dangerous animals in the surface of the planet.

The following are the words that I chose to describe Timothy Treadwell.

ANIMAL LOVER. Treadwell loves animals and he grew up with his first pet and best friend-a squirrel. In the documentary video, it even gives us an idea that he consider every wild animal he meet in the wild as a friend. He talk to them and say " i Love you" to each one of them. During the course of his trail, he met a fox and befriended it, eventually the fox goes with treadwell during his contact with the grizzly.

A MAN WITH A VISION. Grizzly bears are hunted down in Alaska since they are considered a threat to humans. Grizzly bear attack records continues to hunt the people in Alaska. Treadwell then believes that these bears were misunderstood. He used his video to educate the people about the nature of the Grizzlies and that they need not to kill them to reduce the mortality rate of men in connection with bear attacks.

IN DENIAL. In the course of his trek and studies on the bears, he found out that bears are so furious that they even kill and eat their own cubs and kinds for survival. He still find some explanation to such behavior. He devised a good irrigation system for the bears to provide them adequate salmon for them to eat. He convicted that bears have instincts, emotions, intellect and affection to each one.

A RISK TAKER. Risks were at the height of his hobby. The law states that a human should at least keep a 1 mile distance from the bear yet Treadwell come close to these bears and dared to touch and live with them. In the end, the creature he thought to protect and hope to have a mutual relationship was his murderer.

LESSON LEARNED: Act on your vision and consider the realities.
