The world has been enclosed with pre-conceived ideas and people tries so hard to align their-selves on these long-made norms and culture.
Paolo Coelho's "The Witch of Portabelo" shows his radical side and chose not to dwell on pre-conceived ideas made by ancient people, who in some circumstances, gave definition on each word and ideology we know today! Take for example the word "WITCH" . . . by mere a sound of it, we can associate it with rituals to the devil, priestess of hell and other satanic conceptions one could imagine. But, it might be a complete opposite on the side of the "witch".
I love this book not because of the story but on how Paolo successfully incorporate his propaganda into a novel. It awakens us to be open minded and realize that we should'nt let other people, let alone norms, define who we are.
